As a photographer and now also a video creator, it’s ALL about the quality of work. To create something visually dramatic, perhaps emotive alongside those key essentials to make sure the photograph or video is doing and saying the right thing for the brief. Whether it’s a corporate headshot, brand photoshoot or a sports kit needing to be photographed, my attention to the important details never wavers. My standards for quality production are as high as can be and you will only ever get photography or video content that I am proud to give to you.

Ballet portrait photoshoot
I really enjoy meeting new people, finding out a little about them and on the photoshoot capture something that represents them or something that shines out to me. However meeting up with old friends is pretty cool too. I have shot Sarah before but this time was with her daughter Honey. At the moment I'm experimenting with lights and processes along with trying to develop a style of portraiture for this kind of shoot. It's defo work in progress but like the way it's going so far. There's a stillness to the shots, even though she was acting out ballet movements it wanted to capture a precise point in the movement and space. Honey was a delight to work and a huge amount of grace and poise to her ballet but also a very happy teen bursting from the seams.
Cycling photography
Always great to catch up with Tom, this time I put him in the studio environment. I played around with a light and dark set up to create a couple of moods.

Fashion photography - Leeds, Manchester and London
I scouted for locations for this fashion photography shoot, looking for something that was plain but interesting in texture. On a relatively sunny day I found quite a few places but fell upon a lovely location - a communal outside space with raised beds full of palms and against the flats in the background with the sun shining, it almost had a California look to it (well sort of). The next day came working with Lucy and a firm idea of look and mood. I got her working the look perfectly, she’s a great newbie on the scene but sure she will do well. However sadly for us, this day was cold and rain came down within the first hour… so off to shoot inside from a window, making the most of our time together.
Fashion photography Leeds
A quick urban fashion photography shoot while there was a break in the northern weather. Roselyn is a model in the making, always great to work with new faces and be able to direct each one with directions. I always have a clear idea of what i want from each person and the style/look i want from the shoot. As this was the first of a couple of shoots i think it went well.
Actor headshots
I love to create striking actor headshots. To produce headshots that work for getting you auditions but to also push much further, creating something that viewers feel emotionally from the photography and you look at and feel pride in what you see. The photography can be powerful, insightful perhaps touching… whatever you want from your session. To discuss what we together can create, drop me a line.

Actor headshots can be incredibly quick to get done. It can be as simple as setting up a chair, my light and a background in a space in your house and we are off!

Another quick lifestyle fashion shoot in Leeds, Yorkshire. This time I brought with me a small flash unit to add some light where needed.

A session with Millie walking around the streets, looking for interesting light/shadowed areas to see what I could come up with. Millie is not a model and all direction from myself.
Urban fashion shoot Leeds - alternative look
The weather report for the next day was favourable so thought to myself, let’s find someone to shoot. After a few messages on Facebook the fashion shoot was organised. Sarah has an alternative look so thought that would be great to do something slightly different from the norm. All direction to Sarah was from myself.
Personal portraits
Personal portrait sessions are such a nice thing to work on, even when the bad weather plays its part. Its as simple as choosing a location and date and walking around to find locations to shoot in. Relaxed, no pressures, just creating photographs together. Simple right?

Corporate portraits
Stylish, quirky and fun is always a good brief to receive. The guys at The Floow wanted a little more than the standard set of corporate portraits. Some were taken inside and done in the usual way but we also had a lot of fun venturing away from the flash lights, in and around the stylish building they once resided but also outside against some of Sheffield's grittiest graffitied walls, to add their own twist to the photography.
Portraits for Sheffield Hospitals Charity
Without doubt a huge pleasure to photograph for the Sheffield Hospitals Charity. I photographed a number of people with very different life changing stories to tell to be used as examples of how the charity foundation helped them. The campaign brought to life by Sheffield design agency ‘Field’ put together a number of large scale banners shown around the streets of Sheffield.

Tom Bell mountain bike photography
Great couple of mornings with Tom Bell following him around on his mountain bike, getting generally filthy and wet but I love this job and meeting and working with great people like Tom is a pleasure!!!
Family and baby bump
I’m sure Lucy wouldn’t mind me saying she’s not the biggest fan of standing in front of the camera but after an initial pre shoot meeting i helped her to realise what we could achieve and how we were going to do it. On the day of the shoot (after the first 20mins) she really relaxed into the poses and would maybe admit, she enjoyed it with a little help also from her daughter Heidi.
